Events

We arrived at Mamakind's place and she had a delicious spread of munchies lay-ed out ready for all to enjoy and enjoy we did. Ashtrays and lighters were placed in all the right places. Joints and bong hits flowed freely until we were ready to head to the show. Wildunderground drove down to Calgary for the show and got stuck in rush hour traffic. He ended up meeting at the Jubilee Auditorium.

We packed up three hemp bags with Cannabis Culture magazines,  Skunk magazines, TreatingYourSelf magazines, Norml Canada posters, Calgary 420 and Medicinal Michelle t-shirts, postcards and other goodies for Shelby, Tommy and Cheech. Mamakind took the bags to the stage door so Shelby, Tommy and Cheech had the hemp goodie bags before the show.

We ran into many people we know inside the front doors and some of us stood outside and enjoyed some Lambs Breath and other quality cannabis strains.

The Calgary show was again a laugh riot start to finish. Shelby again opened the show with her very funny routine. Cheech and Chong went none stop for over an hour and repeatedly whipped the crowd in to frenzy of whistles and applause. The show was longer this time and even Cheech did a stand up bit towards the end of the show. Three well deserved standing ovations erupted during the show one when Cheech first came on stage. The highlight for us was when Tommy came on the stage and was wearing the Medicinal Michelle t-shirt that Calgary 420 gave to him earlier in the evening. During the show joints were tossed up onto the stage.

After the show Mamakind, Jay, Debbie and I hung around to meet up with Cheech and Chong. Debbie and I have met Shelby and Tommy Chong a number of times over recent years so we spend most of our time chatting with Cheech. Tommy and Cheech signed magazines and t-shirts for us all. Cheech commented on how he wore his Skunk Magazine t-shirt on stage at previous shows because he loved it big time.

On the way home I get a call from Wildunderground. The Calgary Police Service had just suspended his drivers licence for 24 hours and impounded his car and tossed him out in to the cold dark snowy streets of Calgary. We rushed to his location and picked him up and took him home with us. We spend hours talking and medicating and hit the bed at 4:00 AM.

Wild is now home safe with his drivers licence and car.
