I'm planning on coming up for that event, any others I should be aware of? Hoping to bring some friends from the south along with me, we're tired of our governments view on what is basically an herbal remedy.

Excellent bsdwolf that is really good to hear, we need everyone to attend a perfectly legal rally even the folks that will need to wear a face mask due to employers or what have you. We would like to get together on April 20 / 2006 before 4:20 PM (exact times to be decided yet) with as many people as possible that are planning to attend the Calgary Global Marijuana March in May 2006, even the people that can not attended the Calgary Global Marijuana March all are welcome to meet up with us then. We do have our own volunteer media (cameras) people but if you request no pictures of you or your face your wishes will be respected 100% by all in attendance at the April 20 / 2006 event. Would be a real good time to pick up some free face masks for anyone needing them too. For those that wish to volunteer to help in event organization please see this thread http://Calgary420.ca/forum/index.php?topic=161.new#newPrivate Message (PM) myself for details on when and where yet to be decided so please be patient in waiting for a reply

so you figure there may be a need for that pdvc I have? anytime it can be put to good use just call. you'll notice I didn't list the camera as I would be readily identified if I had listed it. it takes video that can be run directly on the TV stations software, broadcast quality. plus I'm a whiz with the software so no faces revealed when the edit is complete. glad to see this getting organized in a timely fashion. you know where to find me when the time comes or if there's questions.

I would have to say yes HP (professional media is a must i think). I will help you with the media end of it. I have a decent still camera (Nikon DS 50) for high resolution pictures (magazine quality) (low res for the web site). Also have a hand held low end Sony digital video camera that will be used as well, great for steaming web video (like POT TV). I will donate the web server space and bandwidth for the pictures and video clips as well.
We should have a good size crowd this time with months to promote it instead of the few weeks we had to do the 2005 SOAP rally here in Calgary. We had over 30 people show up for SOAP and only a few weeks to promote it. To be real honest i was surprised we had that many show up with such short promotional time we had. Now that i think about it we have a excellent very dedicated small core group at Calgary 420 thankfully. Any volunteers out there that can help out Calgary 420 please contact me with details.
I will start contacting local entertainers in the very near future and see who will come out to Calgary's Global Million Marijuana March to entertain the crowd. If anyone knows any entertainers that will come out (volunteer) and entertain the crowd have them contact me with their entertainment details.

Excellent skunky monkey glad to hear you will be there with us all standing up for what is right. To bad you missed the SOAP we held in Calgary in September 2005. We really had a great time. The police toured around us on bikes for a short bit, they bothered no one except for a quick chat with a few people that were interested in chatting with them. We were loud and proud and everyone there did not walk away empty handed. Pipes, bongs, t-shirts, etc... were given away. Grant Krieger did the prize draws for us. Lots of medical and other marijuana information to be had as well. The 2006 Global Million Marijuana March in Calgary will be the biggest marijuana rally this city has ever experienced! This one should not be missed by anyone if they want to have a real good time and meet up with lots of good people on a Saturday afternoon! Meet Grant Krieger in person too (if anyone is to shy i will hook you up, a very caring and compassionate man to say the least), he will also be a guest speaker and draw prizes for us as well.

Just want to thank Keith for sending me some posters. They arrived today, very healthy and discretely. I put up a few this afternoon and plan to have the rest up soon. I urge everyone to get some posters and put them up where you live. We need to spread the word. I think the past weeks events have perhaps reminded us that we're still in a war zone. Be safe all.

Well i have not heard back from the music band that was going to be at the event to play for the crowd. I will continue to try to secure live entertainment for us all. I have secured Skunk Magazine as a sponsor for Calgary 420's Global Million Marijuana March as well now. I am currently discussing the details with David at Skunk Magazine. I will let you know what else we have to give away to the crowd as soon as we finalize the details. Additionally i have contacted all the cannabis magazines and other organisations to see if we can get them to donate stuff for the Calgary 420 Global Million Marijuana March. As the details come in i will post them here for all to see. Keith

Thank you for the help bsdwolf. Anyone that can distribute posters / flyers let me know and i will get them to you. We need to spread the word. I think the past weeks events have perhaps reminded us that we're still in a war zone. Be safe all.
Agreed on all three counts!

We have secured yet another prize sponsor. Hempshere at 26 ave. and 36 Street S.E.
Additionally i have been contacted by a local music band called Loose Change.
I will hook up with them soon and have a listen to the band.
Then i can make an informed decision if we will use them or not.
As soon as i know you all will know K.

Thats awesome. A friend of a friend has a band and had offered to play. But its a death metal band, and after listening to about 2 minutes of screaming, I politely declined. Hope your band is understandable. See if they play "Growing Marijuana In My Yard" by any chance. Be safe.
