Calgary City Mayor Naheed Nenshi,

I want to thank you and city council for taking proactive actions that will use evidence and science in this matter. It is clear to me you have been researching the evidence and science already. I agree with your early comments that the education session would be interesting.

I also found your comment about growing 4 plants would be like growing 4 African violets very interesting.

The panel 420 Clinic industry business owner stated that the Denver, Colorado 12 plant limit was to many and a 4 plant limit would be enough. I strongly disagree. See evidence presented by experts in the February 24, 2016 Federal Court Decision Allard v. Canada at http://norml.ca/allard/. Also of some interest the "Liberal government to respect Allard federal court ruling!" published March 24, 2016 at https://goo.gl/lpqf37. Lastly 4 plants does not leave any room for mother plants, cuttings, seedlings and culling of the male plants.

A interesting fact about growing tobacco at home:
Growing 15 kg of tobacco per year for adult personal use is currently allowed in Canada,
"the quantity of tobacco or cigars manufactured in any year does not exceed 15 kg for the individual and each member of the individual’s family who resides with the individual and who is 18 years of age or older."

Calgary city ward 4 councillor Sean Chu,

I want to thank you, city council and Mayor Nenshi for taking proactive actions that will use evidence and science in this matter.

I disagree with your comment about mail order cannabis is preferred instead of retail store fronts. Current illegal cannabis store front services in business for 10 plus years in provinces like B.C. Ontario and Quebec have shown they provide extremely important positive services in the communities they operate. These retail cannabis distribution businesses are staffed by responsible and knowledge adults.

Please listen to the science and evidence and make your decisions on same.
Failing to make your decisions for Calgary using science and evidence will force me to encourage my family and friends that do live and vote in ward 4 to not vote for you in October 16, 2017 and encourage their famlies and friends living in ward 4 to not vote for you October .

I did find Mayor Nenshi’s comment about growing 4 plants would be like growing 4 African violets very interesting.
